A converted barn on a working farm in the Altenau valley near Atteln, extended in 2024, with 10,000 square metres of grounds and ponies, donkeys, sheep and chickens. Wantüns Festscheune, run by the Meermeyer family, is one of the loveliest new wedding venues in the Paderborn district.

Saying yes where you celebrate
The outdoor ceremony takes place in the ceremony tent on the meadow, with the farm animals in sight. So that the back rows hear every word, we set up a separate small speaker with a wireless microphone there – independent of the rig in the barn, which is already set up by then.
From the courtyard into the barn
Drinks and photos happen outside: in the courtyard, on the lounge terrace or under the linden tree. Inside, the barn waits with its wooden ceiling and long tables. When the reception turns into the party is agreed with you beforehand – one song that brings everyone in, and the dance floor has its start.
Food and drinks from one hand
Catering comes from the venue's permanent partner and drinks are included in the package – options include a buffet, BBQ and a midnight snack. Tell us what you chose and we will time the first dance and the dinner music to match.

The barn is set up for 60 to 100 guests (as of 13 September 2026). We plan the size of the dance floor with you once your guest count is fixed.
How long can we celebrate?
The party runs until around 3 am, with last drinks at 2:30 am. We plan the final hour with you so the evening ends on a high.
Where do our guests stay overnight?
The venue arranges a transfer to the hotel, and there are holiday flats within walking distance.
