Registry office at the town hall or in the castle
For a civil wedding in Paderborn there are two places: the historic town hall in the city centre, or the audience hall of the castle in Schloß Neuhaus, the former residence of the prince-bishops of Paderborn. The city gives out dates through its online service portal, with fixed wedding days for the castle.
If you marry in town and celebrate on one of the estates at the edge of the city, there is a drive in between, and that is exactly when we set up. When your guests arrive, the music for the reception is already playing.
Two estates, two ways to celebrate
Gut Ringelsbruch is an estate with its own restaurant. The Von Köppen kitchen cooks on site, and the party is in the large hall under a vaulted ceiling, with room for up to 200 guests at tables. For smaller parties there is the restaurant with 60 seats.
Gut Lippesee is an events venue with three rooms on one site, from the Stall for 40 guests to the Holthof for 300. On top of that, you can hold an outdoor ceremony right on the lakeshore.
Which of the two suits you better depends mainly on your guest count and on the style of the day: a festive dinner in the vaulted hall, or a day that begins by the lake.
When you say yes outdoors
Both estates can host the ceremony in the open air, Gut Lippesee right by the water. The entrance, the exchange of rings and the exit need their own sound there, separate from the system for the evening.
If you like, we bring a small battery-powered system that runs without a socket, and optionally a microphone for the officiant or for a singer. We start your entrance song when you start walking, and after the exit the music moves on with your guests to the reception.
